I know I keep going on about these 2 local young anglers but they have come so far in the last year. This time last year both Ryce 14 and Owen 9 were worming at Pant y Bedw and have now both converted very successfully to fly fishing and are doing very well and out fishing many of the older anglers. Thursday Owen had 3 rainbows to the net and Ryce had 1 rainbow and a blue to the net all on their own tied flies with no assistance from any adults. Friday they returned and this time Owen had 1 rainbow and Ryce had 5 to the net including a blue and this lovely 4 pounder. Buzzers and blue flash damsels are their flies of choice at the moment.
The weather and water temperature are not ideal for trout fishing at the moment but both lads have done extremely well to land even 1 fish.
