Although the fishing is quiet at the moment the fish are still there but not feeding. I bought this deeper start fish finder for Christmas and enjoy using it to see where the fish are, how deep they are and to scan the profile of the bottom of the lake. This is the result of one scan yesterday.
This is a very cleaver bit of kit and scans the water in a conical shape below the sonar. As you reel it in it looks at about 1m diameter depending on the depth of the water. So in a picture like this it has scanned a path through the water about 1m wide between you and where the scanner landed in the water. To pick up 7 fish in one scan shows there are plenty of fish around.
