After a long hot summer and warm autumn, the temperature of the water is down to a level which suits rainbow trout and the fishery is fishing well and the rod average has improved enormously. After a 4 month break, due to having a knee replacement, I picked up my rod for the first and managed a couple of Pantybedw beauties in about an hour.
Pant Y Bedw Fishery is a beautiful site located in a rural but very accessible location with extremely good access from the A48/M4/A40. Pant Y Bedw Fishery lakes are nestled in a natural bowl surrounded by woodland on 3 sides. Challenger lake is currently stocked with rainbow and blue trout, minimum size 2lb. Pant Y Bedw Fishery is located approximately 5 miles east of Carmarthen and 2 miles from the A48 just past the National Botanic Gardens of Wales.
