Now that the temperature of the water is more suitable for trout fishing the fishing has picked up over the last few days. A couple of 5lb plus rainbows caught as well as a couple over 4lb. All in excellent condition considering the high water temperatures of the summer. Loads of 2.5lb stockies caught from the last stocking a couple of weeks ago. They seem to have woken the older fish up a bit.
Pant Y Bedw Fishery is a beautiful site located in a rural but very accessible location with extremely good access from the A48/M4/A40. Pant Y Bedw Fishery lakes are nestled in a natural bowl surrounded by woodland on 3 sides. Challenger lake is currently stocked with rainbow and blue trout, minimum size 2lb. Pant Y Bedw Fishery is located approximately 5 miles east of Carmarthen and 2 miles from the A48 just past the National Botanic Gardens of Wales.
